My research involves two areas. The first is optimizing nanomanufacturing for 3D printed structures using two-photon polymerization (2PA) 3D printing and pyrolysis. The goal of this work is to develop a consistent procedure to manufacture structures for microbatteries. The second is starting a project involving microactuators using stress imbalances induced by surface redox reactions. The goal of this work is to develop a device with the precision to perform single cell surgery.
