Amirmehdi Salehi is a Ph.D. graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, where he conducted research under the supervision of Dr. Chul B. Park at the Microcellular Plastics Manufacturing Laboratory (MPML). He earned his Ph.D. with a perfect GPA of 4.0/4.0 in May 2025. Prior to his doctoral studies, he completed his Master's degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Sharif University of Technology in 2019, and his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Metallurgy at Isfahan University of Technology in 2016. His doctoral research focused on developing innovative in-situ nanofibrillation technology for fabricating high-performance polymer composites, encompassing topics such as interface engineering and crosslinking mechanisms, conductive polymer nanocomposites with CNT-embedded pathways, bio-templated aerogel fiber systems, transparent and recyclable polymer composites, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials, and oxygen barrier properties for packaging applications resulting in 15+ peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals.
