Ali Alirahimi is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta, studying under the supervision of Dr. Mahdi Hamidi. He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Materials Engineering at the University of Tehran. Ali’s research focuses on the development of advanced 3D-structured materials for energy storage systems, with an emphasis on microarchitected, multifunctional designs. He is particularly interested in the interface of materials science and energy storage, aiming to enhance the efficiency and scalability of energy systems through innovative structural and material designs. His doctoral work explores the fabrication and optimization of 3D components within these systems to improve performance, durability, and sustainability, leveraging state-of-the-art modeling and experimental techniques.
